Should england build up the empire again and hand over control to the queen again?

Nope it's not going to happen a lot of the so called British Colonies are just part of Commonwealth of Nations. Out of duty we see the Queen of England as a figure head of a by gone era. As for handing over all of these colonies to one person will look what happen to Russia and Germany and Austria after World War 1 they have no Kings or Queens to rule over them any more. Russia was just ripe for rebellion and World War 1 was just the icing on the cake to bring down it's monachy. By the way Russia is a big country and it also was in control of Poland and if one man couldn't control such a vast country neither can the Queen of England control her colonies.Should england build up the empire again and hand over control to the queen again?
Not at all. the queen sits there while we work hard to keep them a float. we are supposed to be in a democracy, most people dont even understand the power which they have. If you want a better control get people to vote.... did you know that most people dont even vote- now that is so sad.Should england build up the empire again and hand over control to the queen again?

When Monarchs were in charge of the country they, didn't really have all the say about what will go ahead really what with all those advisors etc...


The signing of the Magna Carta by King John I and co, ruined all for the Monarchs, I think.





I think it would just be the same way today.


What I think should happen is, the people should be allowed to have their say more often.


It can be argued that we do, technically, get our say when political, general elections takes place. But that's not enough because the politcians make all these empty promises that we are tricked into falling for and we have to hold out with their crap for five years. (in UK)

Nope, not going to happen. For two main reasons - one the old empire countries don't want it and two, England doesn't want it either. The days when England would swan into another country and help herself to all the best things in it, are gone.





And the British were never daft enough to let the monarch decide much about the Empire - we left that to the business men for whose benefit it was run.
It would stop a lot of the genocide and killings in the former colonies.

Correction, England DIDN'T build up the empire. I think you'll find the Irish, Welsh and Scots were also involved.

Excuse me? USA doesn't rule the world, it has the largest economy and one of the largest armies, but it doesn't, never has, and never will, rule the world, by any stretch of the imagination. The assumption that you do is a tribute to your arrogance.





Anyway, why do we need to, we have good relationships with all the countries in the common wealth, why jeopardise that? We have one of the worlds strongest economies, and the strongest currency, without having to conquer half the world again.





I am a monarchist, but I would never want to do away with democracy. The system we have at the moment works pretty well thank you very much.
