The box in the bottom left hand corner of my computer that opens my control panel and lets me log off?

and lets me go to every thing on here.It dissapeared and i dont no how to get it back.The box in the bottom left hand corner of my computer that opens my control panel and lets me log off?
do you see icons on the screen? do u see your backround? if you do then dont panic! all that happend was that your task bar (that long strip of grey or blue at the bottom of your screen) got moved!





now theres only 4 places it can be. the top, bottom, left, or right side of the screen. all you have to do to find it is to move your mouse until the arrow is at the very end of one side of the screen. if it turns into a double sided arrow that looks kinda like this: %26lt;--%26gt; then u found it! click it and then while still holding the left mouse button (or right mouse button if you are using the left handed mouse mode) and drag it out!





if its on a side that u dont like click the bar and then while still holding the mouse button, move the mouse to the bottom of the screen and it will shift itself there.





after its positioned correctly, Right (or left if your using lefty mode) the taskbar, and click on properties. if you are using Windows XP the first tab has a clicky box that says Lock Task Bar. click it so a checkmark apears. then click ok. now that wont EVER happen again!The box in the bottom left hand corner of my computer that opens my control panel and lets me log off?

You are not very clear...sorry to say





You may be missing a few things:





1. Taskbar


2. Start button


3. Nothing





Try to press the Windows Logo Key ( between CTRL and ALT )...what happens then ???





Also press the green button in the corner ( if it`s there )





Maybe you`re missing the whole taskbar





Then you might have '; hidden '; the taskbar





Google it for more info

press CTRL+ALT+DEL together to bring up task manager





go to File-%26gt;new task





type





explorer.exe





click ok
