Can i drive a car with hand controls with 2 broken legs?

I used to race with a guy that was paralyzed from the hips down. He operated his car with hand controls quite well, he was one of the racers to beat each night that he showed up.Can i drive a car with hand controls with 2 broken legs?

There are specific rules about temporary disabilities. You need to look at the DVLA site, but I think you would have to notify them and take an assessment test before you could drive. Also you need to notify them if you are in plaster for more than a certain time. If it was just your left then you would be ok with an auto, but both will be too much of a change to driving
How else would you drive it?


Seriously, many handicapped drivers manage to drive without the use of their legs.


Check your local laws that apply to handicapped equipped vehicles.
