Hand controls for trikes/motorcycles do you have any ideas?

I'm trying to find out how can I install Hand controls on a 91 Harley Davidson, Sportster trike 883 for a paralyze person, is it the same way as a car or different? And do I have to get a different license for the trike/motorcycle?Hand controls for trikes/motorcycles do you have any ideas?

for the gearing i know the do a auto clutch[rev and go] addon...as for the licence it depends on the country...Hand controls for trikes/motorcycles do you have any ideas?
I remember an episode on American Chopper where they built a trike for a rider in your situation. I bet if you contacted them they will be happy to help with your questions.


i do believe you will still need a motorcycle endorsement on your license.

In California, no special license needed for three-wheeler.


Use a large bore handlebar master cylinder with an adjustable proportioning valve to control both front and rear brakes, or just run it to rear brakes.


Or, use a hydraulic clutch master cylinder on the left bar for rear or front brakes.


Set up like a tank shift, with a clutch lever mounted to it. The longer this is, the longer the throw needed to effect a gear change. Throw could be shortened by linkage.
Yes, you need a motorcycle license if you want to legally drive it on the street. There is a written and driving test. See your local DMV website for details.
