Nintendo wii-dance dance revolution-how to remove use of hand controls?

just bought a wii, and got the ddr game. i don't want to have to use the controller and nunchuck, but can't figure out how to turn them off. i have tried going into menus, but don't know where the option is to turn them off.Nintendo wii-dance dance revolution-how to remove use of hand controls?
I know how you feel when I first got the game I tried the hand markers and I hated them (but it was a good concept). Anyway to turn them off just go into the song select list and on that list will be an option button (around where random is) select it then it will bring you to a menu that has hand marker, gimmick and freeze arrows select hand marker then for every player playing select their player number then select off then confirm once you are done that go to gimmick and select off then confirm (this mode if you don't know what it is will just add annoying objects that you have to step on/avoid and it just makes the dancing harder and less fun) any way once you are done customizing the options select confirm and select your song and dance your heart out. You should also know that you will have to turn off hand marker etc. every time you turn off the game and turn it back on (basically it doesn't save your options).Nintendo wii-dance dance revolution-how to remove use of hand controls?

I'm with you... all the forums say ';you can turn them off'; but I haven't found it yet either!!!
