Is it fitting that a former KKK-Klansmen will cast deciding vote that hands government control over our health?

“If people let government decide what foods they eat and what medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those who live under tyranny.”

- Thomas JeffersonIs it fitting that a former KKK-Klansmen will cast deciding vote that hands government control over our health?
';. The bill does not put the government in control of health care';

Lie. It does EXACTLY that.

';unlike the KKK dude in the republicans party (David Duke)';

Youd better look up his history. Duke was a Democrat, then an independent, before he finally changed his registration over to Republican.Is it fitting that a former KKK-Klansmen will cast deciding vote that hands government control over our health?
The government will not have control over health if the reforms pass.

It surprises me that so many Americans seem not to be aware about Obama’s healthcare plans [a]. During the election, he campaigned for these changes stating that he felt it was unfair to have a system where insurance companies try to escape paying claims and was elected to bring in changes [b].

First of all, too many people do not know that Obama wants to make insurance more available to all. His system is similar to that which works in Holland, Taiwan [c] and Switzerland. It works there and private healthcare companies provide most the insurance to the people there.

FACT - the USA spends more on healthcare PER PERSON than any other nation on the planet [d].

FACT – insurance companies admit that they push up costs, buy politicians and do not pay out for many claims when they should [e].

FACT - the US has higher death rates for kids aged under five than western European countries with universal health coverage [f].

That means that a dead American four year old would have had a better chance of life if they were born in Canada, France, the Netherlands, Cuba, Switzerland, Germany, Japan etc, all of which have universal health coverage. And no western European nation with universal healthcare has moved away from it. And the sad thing is, that the insurance companies have spent loads of money to fight these reforms [g] and loads of politicians are taking the thirty pieces of silver from them to fight the reforms, rather than fight for the health of the American people.

Remember, I back my facts up with evidence. Those who say they are wrong tend not to. If they are wrong, e-mail me with proof and let me know.
It doesn't surprise me. Oddly, in 1993, Senator Byrd was the deciding vote to prohibit abortion coverage in the Federal Healthcare that Congress receives. What is fitting is Jefferson's quote some two hundred years ago. Thanks for reminding us of a true American, something in short supply these days, at least in Washington.
No doubt. The health care must be reformed. I just wish there was more bipartisanship in drafting the bill. I do not like the public option myself as it will, they say it wont, but it will drive our current health care providers out. There is no way they can compete with the government. Not only that, I do not like the bureaucrats deciding if I get the treatment or not. if you want a taste of how the government is going to run health care, take a look at the H1N1 preparations. It was a disaster. In fact, the government is very slow at everything. Speaking of universal health care, you do know that there are women suffering breast cancer in European countries and Canada being refused treatment for whatever reason. Not only that, we cannot pay for it. Of course, we can print more money, which, in turn, will further weaken the dollar. I could go on forever, but I am cutting it short now. The Patriot writes: ';The government will not have control over health if the reforms pass.';

Lie. Thats what will happen. 111 new government bureaucracies to be created. You dont create one of them, much less 111 unless you intend to put them in charge of something.

';It surprises me that so many Americans seem not to be aware about Obama’s healthcare plans [a]. During the election, he campaigned for these changes stating that he felt it was unfair to have a system where insurance companies try to escape paying claims and was elected to bring in changes [b].';

He didnt mention HOW he was going to accomplish this. Did he give details? No. Did he say how much families were going to pay in taxes? No. Did he say we would be required by law to buy insurance or face fines and/or jail time? No.

';Obama wants to make insurance more available to all and change the system so that it gives the American people value for money [1]. He also wants change so that the insurance companies find it harder to get out of paying for treatment. The system he is proposing looks similar to that which works in Taiwan where private companies are involved in providing healthcare [2].';

No. I'll tell you what he wants. Our pols are so bent upon their legacies that they can't or won't care about what is right or not. Everyone remembers FDR for Social Security and Medicare; not setting the US down the path of fiscal unsustainability. Sure, he may not have intended for SS/Medicare revenues to be looted into the general fund but he opened the door for future Congresses to do so. Obama wants to be credited as the health care FDR and let some future Congress handle the fiscal nightmare,

And if you actually think that the legislation, if it becomes law will: ';make insurance more available to all and change the system so that it gives the American people value for money...that the insurance companies find it harder to get out of paying for treatment. The system he is proposing looks similar to that which works in Taiwan where private companies are involved in providing healthcare';, then you've got another think coming. You are truly naive if you think thats what he wants and thats what he will deliver.
Yes he was a former Klansman he made up for it you know and he regretted it as well unlike the KKK dude in the republicans party (David Duke)
Core party member, that's who they are.
He has asked Jesus for forgiveness...but not the black one.

I wonder if he is measuring for rope length every time he looks at 0bama?
1. The bill does not put the government in control of health care.

2. If you think being a member of the KKK is bad, what would you think if I told you that the person you're quoting actually owned many slaves?
