Two fingers in my left hand get numb, and the muscle that control them is weaked, who knows why?

this is the third time, during last six month that i'm experiencing this symptoms, it began after a long sleep on a hard carpet, and lasted for a month.Two fingers in my left hand get numb, and the muscle that control them is weaked, who knows why?
i had about the same problem, mine lasted 3 months though, but we could have 2 diff things going on, mine eventually went away, my doctor checked it out said it was nothing to worry about, mine was just a pinched nerve, good luck
