yes second hand smoke does count, and is worse for the baby then acctually smoking yourself, when my mum was pregnant, my dad had to stop smoking all together for 9 months.

Medicine companies and medical journals actually refer to those around smokers as ';secondhand smokers,'; and all the warnings for smokers go for non-smokers, too, plus some extra side-effects.

I have been on birth control for over a year and have smoked the whole time. I'm ok. It usually will only cause problems if you are over 35. But everyone is different.
