What ideas does anyone have on how to get control of our out of hand fuel prices?????

Use alternative fuels. Half of the gas/diesel prices are taxes, which the government won't obviously lower, so show that you refuse to pay outrageous taxes in fuel and use something else.





Biodiesel would be a good idea, unfortunately diesel vehicles aren't available in every state.What ideas does anyone have on how to get control of our out of hand fuel prices?????

simple is to do a couple things. first of all we need to stop blaming president bush cause the price of oil isnt his doing and he's not the oil hungry president ppl think. OPEC is the one that sets the prices of oil and other oil companies raise it even more. what we need to do is send a message. as one of the biggest customers of the oil companies i know for a fact if we did it they'ld listen and it would be benefiacl in other ways too. if we american the most overweight country in the world. if we would go on a gasoline stike for a period of time. ask the airlines and buses unless u got a full load u dont fly


ask that everyone walk or ride a bike. have maybe a ride free day to get ppl to ride mass transit during that period.


every person that drives a car and spends close to a hundred to fill up their tank can afford a bicycle. and thanks to opec and their greediness milk is going to be more expensive than gas. but would we as a country do that nope weld rather get our fat butts in suv to drive 10 mins to work. then ****** about the price of gas. if there is only one person in the car even if its a 4 cylinder then its still not fuel efficient. if we didnt use any gasoline powered items for a period of just 24 hours imagine the message that would send to the oil company. and i gurantee u opec would take notice. and if u really wanted to put opec in its place get a opec strike going around the world. we got it easy compared to some countries. allthough unions are stupid. if ppl wanted to be in a union then have one that is worthwhile. the opec oil strike union.
Change your driving habits so that you don't use as much gasoline.





I've started walking to the store %26amp; have cut *way* back on recreational driving. I keep my speed no higher than 60 mph on the freeway %26amp; keep the windows mostly up (with just the fan going for air movement).





We keep hearing that gas prices are driven by supply %26amp; demand, so I'm trying to do my part by cutting back the demand. : )
Quit buying gasoline, or at least use less of it. Demand 50 mpg cars (if they had them 30 years ago, why not now, hmm?) and drive them less.
