I am just wondering why it seems Jews are hostile to non-Jews like Ted Turner, when it concerns the issue of media control and influence?Why do Jews call you anti-Semitic when you ask why media control is in Jewish hands?

Clearly Jews misunderstood my answer.
Claiming Jews are in control of the media, the economy, world politics, etc, is an old Nazi ploy. It was part of their anti-Jewish propaganda campaign designed to incite hatred towards the Jews.


Thus, if you use anti-Jewish propaganda (originated by the Nazis and now employed by the Arabs) you are indeed antisemitic.
Because Jews do not control the media, and because the notion of Jews controlling banking or finance or the media is a very classsic and very common theme among antisemites.
when you make generalizations like that, it only makes you look like a hateful moron. Jews are not monolithic. we don't all feel and act the same way.

Depending on which bigot you're listening to, Jews control the media, the banks, the U.S. government, etc. Similar trumped up conspiracy theories have been used to justify the persecution and murder of Jews throughout history. That is why we are sensitive to this kind of bigotry.





The facts: all the major media companies, General Electric (NBC), Disney (ABC), News Corp (Fox) and CBS are not majority owned by Jews, nor are Jews controlling their Boards of Directors. They are owned by large institional investors such as mutual funds and pensions funds and have diverse directors.
Well, what a coincidence. It just so happens that I am an Israeli-American. However, I don't really care about all of that Politically-correct bull. But I always think it's funny when people believe that Jews control the world. First off, it has only been in the last century that Jews have been given any amount or respect or power. For over four thousand years Jews were considered beneath society, scum, and the like. It has only been in recent human history that people actually see us differently. To say that we control the world isn't correct. Since previously we never had much money, we learned to charish all that we had and do whatever it takes to keep it. For four thousand years we worked literally as hard as slaves since we often were, for little or no money at all. We inherited a great work ethic from our ancestors, and now that we are more widely respected in the world community, we are earning more money and power. Since we aren't used to having such money or power, we do as our ancestors taught us. We guard our wealth and power with our lives. Now people look at our determination and our wealth and say that we rule the world. This is quite the illusion. In fact, it couldn't be farther from the truth. the world economy is controlled by England since the World Treasury is located there. The power of technology is held between Japan, China, and United States (with the U.S. losing control over its share to the Asians and blaming the Jews for it). The power of the media is controlled by the democrats of the United States (which is why everyone is so anti-Iraq and anti-Israeli, since it's the democratic new stations like CNN who first started mass-launching the anti-Israeli and anti-Iraqi propeganda in recent years). It's really ironic, you see, to say that we control the media, since if we did, why would we allow so much anti-Israeli propeganda to flood the tvs and internet? The power of feul is held in the hands of our greatest enemy, the Arabs. It is sad, too. The Arabs are our brothers, born from the same man, the great Abraham himself. But their fierce idology has drived them away from us and we are forced to fight them off to protect our holy land. There is only one thing that the Jews control for sure: Jerusalem. After four thousand years of homelessness, slavery, cruelty, and the like, we have finally gained control over our ancient homeland of Jerusalem. So when you think that the media/world/economy/whatever is controlled by the Jews, even if it were true, haven't we earned it? For four thousand years we were treated worse than the blacks (since for most of that time the Africans were left alone for the most part), and now we are finally enjoying the fruit of our ancestors' labor. Is that wrong?

The New York Times is a public company (NYT on the NYSE)


Dow Jones/Wall Street Journal is owned by News Corp (NWS on NYSE)


The Tribune Co owns many newspapers in the US and is a public company (TXA on the NYSE)





Since they are all public, they are controlled by the stockholders, which you are probably one of them either directly or through Mutual Funds or Pension Plans.

Continuing government deregulation of the telecommunications industry has resulted, not in the touted increased competition, but rather in an accelerating wave of corporate mergers and acquisitions that have produced a handful of multi-billion-dollar media conglomerates. Whenever you watch television, whether from a local broadcasting station or via a cable or satellite dish; whenever you see a feature film in a theater or at home; whenever you listen to the radio or recorded music, whenever you read a newspaper, book, or magazine 鈥?it is very likely that the information or entertainment you receive was produced and/or distributed by one of these megamedia companies.


The largest media conglomerate today is Walt Disney Company, whose chairman and CEO, Michael Eisner, is a Jew. The Disney empire, headed by a man described by one media analyst as ';a control freak,'; includes several television production companies (Walt Disney Television, Touchstone Television, Buena Vista Television), its own cable network with 14 million subscribers, and two video production companies.


As for feature films, the Walt Disney Picture Group, headed by Joe Roth (also a Jew), includes Touchstone Pictures, Hollywood Pictures, and Caravan Pictures. Disney also owns Miramax Films, run by the Weinstein brothers, who have produced such ultra-raunchy movies such as The Crying Game, Priests, and Kids.


When the Disney Company was run by the Gentile Disney family prior to its takeover by Eisner in 1984, it epitomized wholesome, family entertainment. While it still holds the rights to Snow White, under Eisner the company has expanded into the production of graphic sex and gratuitous violence. In addition to TV and movies, the corporation owns Disneyland, Disney World, Epcot Center, Tokyo Disneyland, and Euro Disney.


Disney also sells annually well over a billion dollars worth of consumer products: books, toys, and clothing. In August 1995 Eisner acquired Capital Cities/ABC, Inc., to create a media empire with annual sales of $16.5 billion. Capital Cities/ABC owns the ABC Television Network, which in turn owns ten TV stations outright in such big markets as New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and Houston. In addition, it has 225 affiliated stations in the United States and is part owner of several European TV companies.


ABC鈥檚 cable subsidiary, ESPN, is headed by president and CEO Steven Bornstein, who is a Jew. The corporation also has a controlling share of Lifetime Television and the Arts %26amp; Entertainment Network cable companies. ABC Radio Network owns 11 AM and ten FM stations, again in major cities such as New York, Washington, and Los Angeles, and has over 3,400 affiliates.


Although primarily a telecommunications company, Capital Cities/ABC earned over $1 billion in publishing in 1994. It owns seven daily newspapers, Fairchild Publications (Women鈥檚 Wear Daily), Chilton Publications (automotive manuals), and the Diversified Publishing Group.


Time Warner, Inc., is the second of the international media leviathans. The chairman of the board and CEO, Gerald M. Levin, is a Jew. Time Warner鈥檚 subsidiary HBO is the country鈥檚 largest pay-TV cable network.


Warner Music is by far the world鈥檚 largest record company, with 50 labels, the biggest of which is Warner Brothers Records, headed by Danny Goldberg. Stuart Hersh is president of Warnervision, Warner Music鈥檚 video production unit. Goldberg and Hersch are both Jews.


Warner Music was an early promoter of ';gangsta rap.'; Through its involvement with Interscope Records, it helped popularize a new genre whose graphic lyrics explicitly urge Blacks to commit acts of violence against Whites.


In addition to cable and music, Time Warner is heavily involved in the production of feature films (Warner Brothers Studio) and publishing. Time Warner鈥檚 publishing division (editor-in-chief Norman Pearlstine, a Jew) is the largest magazine publisher in the country (Time, Sports Illustrated, People, Fortune).


Levin may soon be back as number-one media magnate if the planned deal with Turner Broadcasting System is completed. When Ted Turner, the Gentile media maverick, made a bid to buy CBS in 1985, there was a panic in media boardrooms across the nation. Turner had made a fortune in advertising and then had built a successful cable-TV news network, CNN. Although Turner employed a number of Jews in key executive positions in CNN and had never taken public positions contrary to Jewish interests, he is a man with a large ego and a strong personality and was regarded by Chairman William Paley and the other Jews at CBS as uncontrollable: a loose cannon who might at some time in the future turn against them. Furthermore, Jewish newsman Daniel Schorr, who had worked for Turner, publicly charged that his former boss held a personal dislike for Jews.


To block Turner鈥檚 bid CBS executives invited billionaire Jewish theater, hotel, insurance, and cigarette magnate Laurence Tisch to launch a ';friendly'; takeover of the company, and from 1986 till 1995 Tisch was the chairman and CEO of CBS, removing any threat of non-Jewish influence there. Subsequent efforts by Turner to acquire a major network have been obstructed by Levin鈥檚 Time Warner, which owns nearly 20 percent of CBS stock and has veto power over major deals.


Thus, despite being an innovator and garnering headlines, Turner has never commanded the wealth and power to be a true media master. Turner may have decided: if you can鈥檛 lick 鈥榚m, join 鈥榚m. If TBS merges with Time Warner, Levin will become Turner鈥檚 boss, and CNN, the only rival to the network news, will come under complete Jewish control.


Viacom, Inc., headed by Sumner Redstone (born Murray Rothstein), is the third largest megamedia corporation in the country, with revenues of over $10 billion a year. Viacom, which produces and distributes TV programs for the three largest networks, owns 12 television stations and 12 radio stations. It produces feature films through Paramount Pictures, headed by Jewess Sherry Lansing.


Its publishing division includes Prentice Hall, Simon %26amp; Schuster, and Pocket Books. It distributes videos through over 4,000 Blockbuster stores. It is also involved in satellite broadcasting, theme parks, and video games.


Viacom鈥檚 chief claim to fame, however, is as the world鈥檚 largest provider of cable programming, through its Showtime, MTV, Nickelodeon, and other networks. Since 1989, MTV and Nickelodeon have acquired larger and larger shares of the juvenile television audience. Redstone, who actually owns 76 percent of the shares of Viacom ($3 billion), offers Beavis and Butthead as teen role models and is the largest single purveyor of race-mixing propaganda to White teenagers and sub-teens in America and Europe. MTV pumps its racially mixed rock and rap videos into 210 million homes in 71 countries and is the dominant cultural influence on White teenagers around the world.


Nickelodeon has by far the largest share of the four-to-11-year-old TV audience in America and also is expanding rapidly into Europe. Most of its shows do not yet display the blatant degeneracy which is MTV鈥檚 trademark, but Redstone is gradually nudging the fare presented to his kiddie viewers toward the same poison purveyed by MTV.


With the top three, and by far the largest, media conglomerates in the hands of Jews, it is difficult to believe that such an overwhelming degree of control came about without a deliberate, concerted effort on their part.


What about the other big media companies?


Number four on the list is Rupert Murdoch鈥檚 News Corporation, which owns Fox Television Network and 20th Century Fox Films. Murdoch is a Gentile, but Peter Chernin, who heads Murdoch鈥檚 film studio and also oversees his TV production, is a Jew.


Number five is the Japanese Sony Corporation, whose U.S. subsidiary, Sony Corporation of America, is run by Michael Schulhof, a Jew. Alan J. Levine, another Jew, heads the Sony Pictures division.


Most of the television and movie production companies that are not owned by the largest corporations are also controlled by Jews. For example, New World Entertainment, proclaimed by one media analyst as ';the premiere independent TV program producer in the United States,'; is owned by Ronald Perelman, a Jew who also owns Revlon cosmetics. The chairman at New World, Brandon Tartikoff (formerly head of entertainment programming at NBC), is also a Jew.


The best known of the smaller media companies, DreamWorks SKG, is a strictly kosher affair. DreamWorks was formed in 1994 amid great media hype by recording industry mogul David Geffen, former Disney Pictures chairman Jeffrey Katzenberg, and film direction Steven Spielberg, all three of whom are Jews. The company produces movies
