Where do you think hip hop is going? whos hands will control its future, and what will the sound evolve to?

in say the 3 to 5 years? it seams with more artist's coming out like asher roth, kanya, fort minor, bringing more of a real down to earth image not only in their music but in there dress that the more gangster type stuff is beginning to fade away (thank god) could we possibly see a rise of the old days?Where do you think hip hop is going? whos hands will control its future, and what will the sound evolve to?
I agree that dope boy Hardcore gangster music is slowly starting to fade away. Lil Wayne is changing, so is T.I. Rappers are starting to get away from all the murder talk and starting to make more universal music. I see rap becoming more alternative and pop like.Where do you think hip hop is going? whos hands will control its future, and what will the sound evolve to?

hip hop used to be different and the ';gangsta'; look as you so put it is what made rappers different.They had their own style.Now they startin to wear freakin skinny jeans n ish like they were some damn punk rockers which is not original at all.I mean really wtf? and rap is starting to sound more like pop these days due to alot of rappers trying to sing (Kanye,T.I.,etc.) and experiment with or blend with rock(wayne,fort minor) so yea our sound isnt original like it used to be.The music is losing its substance.


So yea hip hop is not what it used to be.I isnt why people loved it in the first place *tear* R.I.P Hip Hop =(
